The Zipporah Foundation held its much-anticipated Dawaki Outreach on April 19th, 2025, offering life-changing support to students, artisans, and families in the Dawaki community of Abuja, Nigeria.
As part of its holistic approach to breaking the cycle of poverty and promoting sustainable growth, the Foundation presented empowerment packages designed to address both educational and economic needs.
Investing in Education: Scholarships for Primary and Secondary Students
In line with its belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, The Zipporah Foundation awarded Scholarship Grants to 10 students—5 from primary schools and 5 from secondary schools—helping to cover critical educational expenses such as tuition, learning materials, school uniforms, and examination fees.
Our mission is to remove the barriers that stand between young learners and their dreams. These scholarships are more than financial support; they are an investment in the promise and potential of each child.
Equipping Youth for Economic Empowerment
Recognizing the need for vocational skills and sustainable livelihoods, the Foundation also presented empowerment tools to 10 trainees who had completed their training programs:
- 5 Tailoring trainees received sewing machines, empowering them to kickstart their own businesses.
- 5 Trainee barbers were equipped with professional barbing kits, providing them the tools needed to begin earning a living.
These resources represent more than tools—they are the first steps toward independence, dignity, and long-term economic stability.
Supporting Families with Essential Needs
In response to the economic pressures many families face, The Zipporah Foundation distributed 200 bags of rice to households in Dawaki, offering immediate relief and showing solidarity with the community during challenging times.
One grateful parent shared, “This support came at just the right time. From helping our children stay in school to giving us food for the table, the Foundation truly sees and meets our needs.”
